Pre-marital Sex

Pre-marital sex was “immoral” and against the “tenets of every religion” – Judge Virender Bhat, India

Which just goes to show that ‘every’ religion is stupid.

The strongest natural force that exists in our species, apart from breathing, is sex, the act of procreation.

Anybody (religions) who tries to control it, or ban it, or set conditions like marriage is just plain stupid, totally out of touch with reality.

Hell: Exothermic or Endothermic?

by Jonathan Turley

“This answer to a college chemistry exam was sent to me recently and restores my faith in the new generation of college students. The answer was purportedly in response to the bonus question on a University of Arizona chemistry midterm: “Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?” Here is the student’s answer:

First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving, which is unlikely. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering Hell, let’s look at the different religions that exist in the world today.

Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle’s Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added.

This gives two possibilities:

1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.

2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.

So which is it?

If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman year that, ‘It will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you,’ and take into account the fact that I slept with her last night, then number two must be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and has already frozen over. The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has frozen over, it follows that it is not accepting any more souls and is therefore extinct, leaving only Heaven, thereby proving the existence of a divine being which explains why, last night, Teresa kept shouting ‘Oh my God.’

The student reportedly received a well-deserved A+.”

Can’t Upset the Status Quo

Millions on the planet are Christians who have held the belief that Jesus was not married, celibate even are about to be very upset to find that may not be the case.

Celibacy has been a celebrated part of the Christian faith, so much so that the Catholics demand celibacy from their priests based on this premise.

But…

A couple of weeks ago the news burst on the western world that this premise may well be false – See Cat Among the Pigeons on Tomus Arcanum which tells the story of a small piece of papyrus where Jesus mentions “my wife.”

The original BBC story can be read directly.

Then today we have in the news…

‘Jesus wife’ documentary broadcast delayed amid doubts

A TV documentary about a 4th-Century papyrus fragment that makes reference to Jesus having a wife has been delayed amid doubts over its authenticity.

The Smithsonian Channel has pushed backed the broadcast to an unspecified date, while further tests on the Coptic script are carried out.

Scholars have questioned the fragment’s authenticity on grammar and lack of known archaeological provenance.

Christian tradition has long held that Jesus was unmarried. – BBC News

Opinion:

To me the doubters are obviously the pro-celibacy brigade whose myopic view should be discounted.

I have no problems if further tests are carried out.

But the notion that Jesus had a wife, Mary Magdalene was NOT a prostitute  and that celibacy is a crock ‘o shit seems to tie in with what we know of Pope Constantine who removed certain books from the Bible that didn’t suit HIS view of religion, one of which could well have been the book of the 13th Apostle who could well have been Mary.

The religious around the world would be quaking in their boots, centuries of stoic belief are about to be uprooted, the resultant global mental backlash, should this be proven, would be catastrophic.

The credibility of the most revered institution on Earth of all times would crumble. The church would never recover. Oh sure, there would be those adherents who would consider it all some communist plot, but faith would literally be shaken for millions.

The powers don’t want the truth ever to be known. If you don’t have the church, you have no control over the people.

Is it no wonder the broadcast is delayed…..

Man Should be Embracing the Homosexual

Instead we have these petty-minded religious bigots who persecute them.

If you look throughout history many, if not the majority, of the great writers, artists, musicians, scientists and thinkers have been gay.

Science, itself, has reversed previous ideas and come to the conclusion that homosexuality is genetic. Of course there are those in the scientific community who contradict this, but if you look at them closely, they are too adhered to religion to form an independent opinion.

Sexuality is determined by Mother Nature. Man has NOTHING to do with it.

Yet, the religious writings, written by MEN condemn the homosexual.

Today in the news we read of a country that has decided to persecute homosexuality in school children.

Malaysia holds seminars to help teachers spot ‘gay children’

The Malaysian government has begun holding seminars aiming to help teachers and parents spot signs of homosexuality in children, underscoring a rise in religious conservatism in the country.

So far, the Teachers Foundation of Malaysia has organised 10 seminars across the country. Attendance at the last event on Wednesday reached 1,500 people, a spokesman for the organisation said.

“It is a multi-religious and multicultural [event], after all, all religions are basically against that type of behaviour,” said the official.

The federal government said in March that it is working to curb the “problem” of homosexuality, especially among Muslims who make up over 60% of Malaysia’s population of 29 million people.

According to a handout issued at a recent seminar, signs of homosexuality in boys may include preferences for tight, light-coloured clothes and large handbags, local media reported.

For girls, the details were less clear. Girls with lesbian tendencies have no affection for men and like to hang out and sleep in the company of women, the reports said.

Malaysia frowns on oral and gay sex, describing them as against the order of nature. Under civil law, ‘offenders’, both male and female, can be jailed for up to 20 years, caned or fined.

Actual prosecutions are rare, although former deputy prime minister Anwar Ibrahim has twice been tried for sodomy, in cases he called political conspiracies. He spent six years in jail, but the courts have since cleared him on appeal or dropped charges for lack of evidence.

Official intolerance of gay people has been on the rise. Last year, despite widespread criticism, the east coast state of Terengganu set up a camp for “effeminate” boys to show them how to become men.

The latest seminar for the teachers and parents was run by deputy education minister Puad Zarkashi, his office confirmed.

Zarkashi wasn’t immediately available for comment but national news agency Bernama quoted him as saying that being able to identify the signs will help contain the spread of the unhealthy lifestyle among the young, especially students.

“Youths are easily influenced by websites and blogs relating to LGBT [lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender] groups,” he was quoted as saying.

“This can also spread among their friends. We are worried that this happens during schooling time.”

Opinion:

“…working to curb the ‘problem'”

The problem is those who are trying to ‘curb’ nature.

Laws that imprison or chastise homosexuals are archaic and brutal. Countries and religions that punish people in this manner for following their naturally designed instincts should be shunned, cut off from the benefits of the world. Let them live in their abject misery. If those religions are in countries that have done away with laws against homosexuality, then these religions should be denied social benefits, because they are depriving the world of great people.

Homosexuals are not ‘influenced’ by LGBT web sites, but are freed by them, freed from the religious oppression that keeps them in the proverbial closet.

The ‘unhealthy’ lifestyle is the bigotry and hatred generated by the religious fanatics.

While this news item is about Muslims, the problem of persecution isn’t limited to them, but Christians, Jews and many other fundamentalist religions.

The homosexual is feared, because those who are not know that homosexuals have better minds. It has been proven that bigotry and violence are the  way of the lower IQs (sorry, the reference for that is long buried, but has appeared on my blogs), the conservatives of the world, the people who are too afraid to think for themselves, and are hence conservative.

If people really want to ‘give peace a chance’ (John Lennon song 1969) then the homosexual should be embraced by us all.

Here’s why I am supportive of homosexuality…

I have a gay stepson, I knew he was gay at nine, his mother did too, and she hated the idea even to the extent of trying evangelicals to bash it out of him with the Bible. That was 18 years ago. It didn’t work, he is happy, gay and doesn’t have an evil thought in his head; which is more than can be said for the people who tried to make him something he wasn’t.

What did I say? Didn’t I say just that?

Last week, I wote a post, Is the church too antiquated to lead people?

Now this week a Cardinal says the same thing in an interview just before he died.

Cardinal Carlo Martini says Church ‘200 years behind’

Cardinal Martini’s body is lying in state in Milan Cathedral

Italian Cardinal Carlo Maria Martini has described the Roman Catholic Church as being “200 years behind” the times.

The cardinal died on Friday, aged 85.

Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera has published his last interview, recorded in August, in which he said: “The Church is tired… our prayer rooms are empty.”

Martini, once tipped as a future pope, urged the Church to recognise its errors and to embark on a radical path of change, beginning with the Pope.

Thousands of people have been filing past his coffin at Milan’s cathedral, where he was archbishop for more than 20 years.

The cardinal, who had retired from the post in 2002, suffering from Parkinson’s Disease, is to be buried on Monday.

‘Old culture’

Martini, a popular figure with liberal stances on many issues, commanded great respect from both Pope John Paul II and his successor Pope Benedict XVI.

The cardinal – a member of the Jesuit religious order – was often critical in his writings and comments on Church teaching, says the BBC’s David Willey in Rome.

He was a courageous and outspoken figure during the years he headed Europe’s largest Catholic diocese, our correspondent says.

In his last interview, given to a fellow Jesuit priest less than a month ago and published the day after his death, the cardinal made sweeping criticisms of the Catholic Church.

Catholics lacked confidence in the Church, he said. “Our culture has grown old, our churches are big and empty and the church bureaucracy rises up, our religious rites and the vestments we wear are pompous.”

Unless the Church adopted a more generous attitude towards divorced persons, it will lose the allegiance of future generations, the cardinal added. The question, he said, is not whether divorced couples can receive holy communion, but how the Church can help complex family situations.

And the advice he leaves behind to conquer the tiredness of the Church was a “radical transformation, beginning with the Pope and his bishops”.

“The child sex scandals oblige us to undertake a journey of transformation,” Cardinal Martini says, referring to the child sex abuse that has rocked the Catholic Church in the past few years.

He was not afraid, our correspondent adds, to speak his mind on matters that the Vatican sometimes considered taboo, including the use of condoms to fight Aids and the role of women in the Church.

In 2008, for example, he criticised the Church’s prohibition of birth control, saying the stance had likely driven many faithful away, and publicly stated in 2006 that condoms could “in some situations, be a lesser evil”.

I am not religious, you don’t need to be to lead a good life. Neither am I a cardinal, but you don’t need to be to see that things are wrong.

The Cardinal’s interview vindicates my criticism of all religions, they all need to be dragged screaming into the 21st century.

The Future, the Ominus Future

“Greatest Love Of All”

I believe the children are our future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children’s laughter remind us how we used to be…

Whitney Houston’s song makes me wonder, what sort of future are our kids, and their kids, etc going to have.

Children have changed, and changed not for the better. Parents, educators, governments, welfare have all abdicated their responsibilities, leaving the children to flounder, to wallow in self-pity.

As a race we have plundered and destroyed the planet in our greed and are now busy picking over the bones; no one is interested but a few, too few.

We are all too busy looking through or rose tinted spectacles to see reality.

We think of the world as being replete with technology and happy babies choosing their own nursery rhymes from an iPad.

But, I wonder is the future more likely to be this…

Squalid, surrounded by pollution and filth, children abandoned, left to fend for themselves as humanity sinks into the very chaos we say we are trying to avoid.

All the indicators point to this rather than the rosy picture above.

The world’s global economy is destroyed, it’s gone. What is left at the moment are the final spasms, the death rattle before it finally kicks the bucket.

Once the economy fails, society fall into shreds.

Wagons follow the train off the tracks

We have peoples who are hell bent on destroying other peoples in the name of power and religion. The politicians and religious leaders have gone off the rails; and like the wagons on a goods train, we the people are following them off the tracks.

The future will resemble nothing, absolutely nothing like anything we have previously known or had the capacity to even imagine.

No electricity, no gasoline, no education, no housing, no food. Men will fight for survival, they will kill their neighbours for food and drinkable water. Many will become nomadic, wandering hither and thither searching for a means survival.

We are well on the path of regression returning to our savage ways of Neanderthal ancestors, perhaps the regression will be even further towards extinction.

The Future, the Ominus Future…
